Acclaimed Short Story Writer to Read at Widener University on Wednesday, Feb. 24
February 17, 2010
Kevin Wilson, author of the 2009 short story collection, Tunneling to the Center of the Earth, will read from his work in the The Webb Room in Widener’s University Center at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24. The New York Times described his work as offering “fabulous twists and somersaults of the imagination.” I heard him read at the Sewanee Writers’ Conference a few years ago, and vividly remember a brilliant and hilarious story written in a style mocking a PowerPoint presentation. If you like well-written short stories, don’t miss this talented writer. It’s free and open to the public. –Sam Starnes, Editor
