
Widener Nursing Graduate Facing Bahrain Prison Sentence Pens Op-Ed in Philadelphia Inquirer

Rula Al-Saffar, a 2000 master’s graduate of the Widener School of Nursing who is facing a 15-year prison term for providing medical aid to protestors in her home country of Bahrain, wrote an opinion piece published in today’s Philadelphia Inquirer that tells her amazing story. She recently conducted a lengthy, online interview for Widener Magazine for an upcoming feature in the fall issue due out in September.
