Way Back Machine: Engineering Senior Projects

March 2, 2012

The Widener School of Engineering’s senior projects day has long been a big event on campus. We believe this circa 1970s photo comes from the annual event, but we don’t know the details of the presentation or the names of those pictured.  If you know, please post a note in the reply field below. (Click on the image to enlarge it.)

This year’s presentation of senior projects will be on Friday, April 13, in Room 149 in Kirkbride Hall. If you’d like to attend or more information, please call Georgeann Gardner at 610-499-4037.

For more on the School of Engineering’s sesquicentennial, be sure to look out for the new issue of Widener Magazine due out in April and a new web site coming soon.  In the meantime, check out the page with information about the 150th Anniversary Gala set for Nov. 3 in Philadelphia’s Franklin Institute.

  1. You gotta LOVE those ties! 🙂

  2. And and the plaid pants!

  3. Those guys are Joe Undinsky, Bill Grigg, Nick Ricci and Jim Crawford (class of 1974) presenting Senior Project “The Bronze Whale”. An underwater load transport vehicle.

  4. PS: Unfortunately, Bill Grigg passed away earlier in 2012 .. We’ll miss him.

  5. I am on the left. Class of ’74’. Our project was the Bronze Whale. I have been a Senior Projects judge many times and have been a recruiter interviewing for the companies I have worked for many times. Brings back good memories.
