Widener Art Gallery to Feature Watercolors

The Widener Art Gallery will present the Philadelphia Water Color Society 2014 Members Exhibition of Works on Paper beginning Tuesday, March 18.

The exhibit will feature 74 pieces, including one by the show’s juror, Kass Morin Freeman, who has worked for more than 30 years in the industry as a teacher, juror, and workshop instructor with several groups and art institutions. Her work has appeared in various books and art publications, and she’s won more than 120 awards.

There will be an awards reception at the gallery located in University Center from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 5. The show will hang until May 17.

Founded in 1900, the Philadelphia Water Color Society holds yearly exhibitions and has more than 500 international artists as members.

The gallery is free and open to the public on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
